For over 30 years, Envent’s have successfully provided Mobile Pipeline Degassing services, Odor Control, Pipeline Blowdown Mitigation and Hydrostatic Test Water Treatment to the Oil & Gas, Natural Gas Pipeline and Petrochemical & Refinery Industry.
In 2020, we added the service of Natural Gas Pipeline Recompression, Cross-compression, Pipeline Evacuation and Oil Field Compression Services with a new state of the art fleet of mobile compression units. Our customers ask, we deliver.
Mobile natural gas compression services, also called Cross compression, recompression or pipeline evacuation refers to the process of removing methane from a section of a pipeline that requires maintenance, servicing, or hydrostatic testing.
Distribution, storage transmission and operators of natural gas pipeline systems routinely reduce line pressure and discharge, evacuate or blowdown the methane gas from pipeline sections to ensure safe working conditions during maintenance, testing, repair, and replacement activities and to recapture the valuable product.
Also, the May 2023 promulgation of Part Two of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) MEGA Rule requires measures to enhance pipeline safety and reduce pipeline failures. PHMSA issued the Mega Rule in response to a number of incidents that highlighted the need for improved pipeline regulations.
Traditionally, this has been accomplished through methods such as direct atmospheric discharge, to flaring or thermal oxidation. To capture this carbon release and provide a Net ZERO methane release, Envent developed the most sophisticated mobile compression unit able to process vapors from 1400 PSIG to 5 PSIG in a matter of hours.
We are proud to present our cutting-edge mobile compressors, equipped with Caterpillar engines and Ariel compressors with our in-house engineered safety systems and PLC controls. All vessels meet ASME code and all systems have been tested for safe ensuring top-notch performance and efficiency.
With our team of OQ certified operators, we mobilize anywhere in North America within hours. When a pipeline requires maintenance, we connect our equipment, compress the high-pressure natural gas, and transfer it back to an active section of the pipeline. This method not only saves time and enhances safety, but also helps you save money while safeguarding the environment.
Since 1992, Envent Corporation has helped oil & gas customers achieve emissions standards and compliance with local, state and federal environmental rules and regulations throughout North America. We also provide economical methods for decarbonization. We provide pipeline hydrostatic test water management.
Recently the PHMSA issued its final rule expanding Federal pipeline safety oversight to all onshore gas gathering pipelines. Known as the PHMSA Mega Rule, this ruling added significant scope to the current pipeline integrity management requirements.
The final rule affects tens of thousands of miles of previously unregulated gas gathering pipelines. Also, pipeline operators have to report safety information for more than 450,000 miles of gas gathering lines governed by Federal reporting requirements.
