Salesforce Administrator

Houston Area – La Porte, TX (Gulf Coast Regional Office)


Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for daily administration and maintenance of the ecosystem, as well as training and support of its entire user base. Functions include but are not limited to managing user profiles and permissions, developing and supporting application-based solutons to thecreating customized reports and dashboards, developing, testing, and deploying complex automation, workflow rules, data validations, process flows, sharing rules, and custom objects. Additional responsibilities include, creating process and training documentation, data management (import and export), keeping abreast of Salesforce enhancement releases, and providing management with recommended process improvements.


Essential duties may vary according to region, division, area, and/or assignment. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Act as the internal Salesforce product “owner” in all capacities
  • Daily administration, maintenance and support of the Salesforce platform (Sales, Service, Marketing, etc) including, but not limited to ongoing documentation and data integrity, managing multiple user permissions, profiles and roles, customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validations, and automation
  • Create and manage complex process flows, workflow rules, data validations and triggers
  • Troubleshoot and work with end users to ensure that functionality meet business needs and adheres to changes in business processes, policies and procedures
  • Provide application users with technical support; Log and track identified system problems through resolution
  • Develop and create customized analytics (reports and dashboards)
  • Create, train, provide technical support and maintain documentation on processes, policies, system configuration and help modules for end users
  • Develop and maintain change management process to keep users informed about system functionality and enhancements
  • Create and document functional and business requirements by working with end users to development enhancements
  • Create and maintain all support and training manuals for field crews and office employees with detailed information about the system and all the required processes and features
  • Train new and existing users on how to use system features and processes
  • Manage outsourced Salesforce implementation partners and ongoing relationships with Salesforce employees
  • Develop automation to streamline field and back office processes
  • Manage customer communications (eBlasts, survey’s, etc)
  • Configure and maintain customer facing reports (quotes, time tickets, degas reports, etc)
  • Create and manage customer pricing structures (pricebooks, pricebook items, etc)
  • Update and maintain equipment list and catalog items
  • Develop, test, and deploy all operations related mobile forms (SSE Qualifications, Safety and Tailgate, etc)
  • Perform routine data integrity tasks
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise all third party implementations related to Salesforce integrations,Responsible for direction to various development partners, consultants, and freelancers, Oversee tasks of Assistant Administator


Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201) required
