Soil Vapor Extraction and Remediation

What
is Soil Vapor Extraction? It is a general term for pulling
a vacuum on contaminated soils to remove volatile organic compounds
(VOC's). The process has several different names including SVE, Soil
Vacuum Extraction and variations which include removing groundwater
along with the vapors: High Vacuum SVE, Multi-Phase Extraction, Dual
Phase Extraction.
What Is Air Sparging? This technology, which is also known as "in situ air stripping" and "in situ volatilization," involves the injection of air using an air compressor/blower into the subsurface, enabling a phase transfer of hydrocarbons from a dissolved phase to vapor phase.
What is a SVE Pilot Test? Envent's fleet of portable Soil Vapor Extraction Systems are perfect for conducting pilot studies on your site. The test will determine whether the technology is feasible and will further define design parameters for a complete system.
